Curriculum Design
EnCompass designs curriculum based on the context of the participants’ work environment and culture. Our designers incorporate experiential, energizing, action-learning methodologies that enable learning through real-time application. We approach all learning programs as multi-level learning interventions using a variety of modalities to ensure that the most effective strategies for learning and development are used. Relying on our in-house expertise, we have acted as both content experts and instructional designers in developing curricula in public health, human resource management, writing, and institutional strengthening.
Our Approach to Design
- Needs assessment. We conduct thorough assessments of participants’ backgrounds, learning styles, professional history, personal and professional objectives, and current knowledge, attitudes, practices, and beliefs to design the best curricula possible.
- Stakeholder engagement. Our design teams work hand-in-hand with our clients to ensure that we understand organizational objectives and desired outcomes.
- Macro-level design. We begin with a macro agenda that includes detailed learning outcomes for client review.
- Micro-level design. A micro-level design includes an outline of presentation materials, participant and facilitators’ workbooks, and the curriculum evaluation design.
- Training materials. We create tailored materials, curricula, guides, and job aids to use during the training or facilitation event that support learning and creating actions for innovation and change.
- Evaluation. We design and conduct evaluations of training programs to improve organizational learning, accountability, and results.
