Technology: World Bank Public Sector Support Group (2002)

Project Description:
ENCOMPASS developed a CD ROM resource for the World Bank’s Public Sector Support Group to help task managers working in Africa strengthen the design and performance of their projects.
ENCOMPASS assembled existing information in an easy-to-navigate architecture, developed tools, case studies, and best practices needed by users.

Methodologies and Activities:
The ENCOMPASS team managed all phases of this project including:

1) Content

• Collected and organizing the resource content
• Researched and documenting case studies
• Developed additional content as needed

2) Web design

• Developed user-centered information architecture
• Developed the look-and-feel

3) Produced the CD ROM

Accomplishments/Impact:
The CD ROM – designed to look and feel like a web site -- was successful at putting the tools for organizational assessment and strategy development at the fingertips of field managers in Africa with limited Internet access.
