International Resources Group (IRG), an L-3 Communications company, is an international professional services firm that helps governments, the private sector, communities, and households manage critical resources to build a cleaner, safer, and more prosperous world.

IRG excels at establishing staff teams and managing, operating, and supporting flexible quick-response mechanisms capable of providing development activities. IRG offers a global network of facilitators, technical experts, and in-country resources to support participant training initiatives.

IRG provides technical training to USAID beneficiaries and supports training elements associated with country strategies and national development plans. They serve as USAID’s primary knowledge management (KM) implementing partner and have developed several major web-based training, outreach, and communities of practice campaigns for international development thought leaders. IRG is known for creating innovative and effective capacity-building solutions for developing professionals, government agencies, NGOs, and other civil society members, and for transferring appropriate technologies to ensure sustainability.

Highlights

  • Management of the Program/Project Management Training (PPMT) IQC, USAID’s Office of  Human Resources (OHR) flagship training initiative; with more than 14,100 participants worldwide
  • Technical and administrative support for the USAID Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean;  more than 53,000 participants trained and more than 5,000 instructors certified in emergency and disaster response and preparedness in 31 countries
  • Management of training program for the Department of State on the State/USAID Operational Plan process; design of online series  accessed by over 800 Embassy and USAID staff at every USAID post worldwide
  • Design and implement U.S., local and regional study tours and consultations for officials in energy, natural resource management, economic development, and governance
